The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has announced plans to launch a three-month paid internship program for 20,000 graduates, offering a monthly stipend of Rs. 30,000 to each selected candidate. The provincial government has proposed a budget of Rs. 2 billion for the initiative, which aims to provide young graduates with practical work experience and improve their employment opportunities.
The internships will be offered in industries, software houses, and other organizations, with priority given to private-sector placements. Applicants must have a valid KP domicile and a minimum CGPA of 3.0. The government will reserve 50 percent of the positions for men and 50 percent for women, while opportunities will be distributed across all districts based on population.
Selected candidates will receive a total stipend of Rs. 90,000 over the three-month internship period. The Higher Education Department will develop detailed guidelines for selection, training, and placements. The government is also preparing a centralized online portal to manage applications and internship placements. However, registrations have not yet opened, and the official application link and further eligibility requirements are still awaited.
