By OnePlus has revealed the full camera specifications of its upcoming flagship, the OnePlus 16. The phone is confirmed to launch in China soon. It will also use Qualcomm’s newly announced Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset.
The OnePlus 16 will feature a triple-camera setup on the rear. Its main camera will use a 200MP sensor with a 1/1.4-inch size. The sensor will also have an f/1.6 aperture. The phone will also include a 50MP periscope telephoto camera. It will support 3x optical zoom for closer shots. A 50MP ultrawide camera will complete the rear setup with a 116-degree field of view.
For selfies, the OnePlus 16 will feature a 50MP front-facing camera. The phone will also use Oppo’s Lumo imaging engine. OnePlus has already shared several camera samples taken with the upcoming flagship.
Alongside its camera hardware, the OnePlus 16 will come in three color options. Its overall design will remain similar to the OnePlus 15. The company has also confirmed support for a system-wide 165Hz refresh rate.
Meanwhile, recent rumors point to a 9,000mAh battery for the OnePlus 16. OnePlus has not yet confirmed the battery capacity. More details are expected as the China launch gets closer.
