Dana White already runs the UFC, Zuffa Boxing, and Power Slap, but President Donald Trump apparently thinks he has room for one more job. On Saturday, Trump announced that he had offered White the position of White House press secretary.

Now, White has addressed the offer for the first time. Speaking at a boxing event in London on Saturday night, the UFC boss joked about his already packed schedule, while also revealing that he’s headed to Washington, D.C., to meet with the president.

Trump’s Offer

The White House has been without a press secretary since October, when Katie Zacharia was fired after just five days on the job. Zacharia had replaced Karoline Leavitt, who stepped down in August to spend more time with her family.

On Saturday afternoon, Trump took to Truth Social and offered the role to White, one of his most loyal allies. “I am pleased to announce that the Great Dana White, a violent Fighter and Warrior, has been offered the job of Press Secretary of the United States,” Trump wrote.

Trump also asked White to bring several UFC stars, including Islam Makhachev, Khabib Nurmagomedov, and Justin Gaethje, with him as assistants. “We need these people to defend us against the Lunatic Left. Dana will be a Press Secretary like none other. Dana, please take the job!” Trump added.

White’s relationship with Trump goes back decades, and he has spoken at the last three Republican National Conventions. In June, the UFC also held its Freedom 250 event on the South Lawn of the White House, which coincided with Trump’s 80th birthday.

‘A lot of jobs’

Shortly after Trump’s post, White shared an image of himself behind the podium in the White House briefing room on his Instagram story, with the caption “On to the next chapter.” White House communications director Steven Cheung also chimed in, writing, “Hell yeah! Do it, @DanaWhite! It’ll just be like old times!” in a post on X.

But when White was asked about the offer at the Zuffa Boxing press conference in London, White told the media that he’s “flying to Washington, D.C. right now” and will meet with President Trump on Monday.

“I’ve got a lot of jobs already,” White added.

We’ll have to see what happens, but White certainly didn’t shut down the possibility.
