By Ex-Kansas City Chiefs offensive lineman Mitchell Schwartz didn't hold back in criticizing his former team after its embarrassing loss to the Denver Broncos in Week 8.
At 5-1, the Chiefs held control of the top spot in the AFC West standings entering the rivalry showdown on November 1, and Kansas City dominated Denver for most of the game — even entering the fourth quarter with an 11-point lead.
But outright collapse on both sides of the ball saw the Chiefs squander their hard-won advantage, ultimately resulting in a 28-24 defeat at the hands of the now-division-leading Broncos.
Here's what Schwartz had to say about Kansas City's performance against Denver:
What an absolute EMBARRASSMENT. Can't get a freaking yard from the 1 yard line because you refuse to sneak the ball, WITH A TIME OUT. YOU HAVE MULTIPLE CHANCES AT IT.
WELL DESERVED LOSS.

Now 5-2, the Chiefs will look ahead to a Week 9 tilt with the New York Jets, which should present Kansas City with an excellent opportunity to earn its sixth win of the 2026 NFL regular season in front of a home crowd at Arrowhead Stadium.
