Sixers coach Nick Nurse talks road trip ahead of finale vs. Bulls

By November 8, 2026

CHICAGO — The Philadelphia 76ers will finish their road trip on Sunday afternoon when they take on the Chicago Bulls with an opportunity to go 2-1 on this 3-game trip. The Sixers were able to pick up a win in Detroit before falling to Cleveland and they will look to end things on a high note on Sunday.

As the Sixers move into the finale against the Bulls, this was a great opportunity for the team to build camaraderie and continue to build cohesion as a team. Philadelphia being able to get away from home and get on the road where all the players have are each other is a big development for this group and coach Nick Nurse knows it.

"I think you know you need to win on the road if you want to be a high-level team, and it's obviously difficult to do that," Nurse stated. "So I'll be pretty happy with this road trip if we need to win today. You go out on the road, you have some really tough games, but I think that there was some time to be together. There was some time to get to the court, away from the game, things like that, which is also helpful."

The Bulls are a rebuilding team and a team the Sixers should handle business against. Of course, no wins in the NBA are guaranteed and the Sixers need to have the right focus, but with tip off set for 3:30 p.m. EST, this is a game LeBron James and Co. should get to get back in the win column.
