The NHLofficially unveiled its Hometown Remix jerseys for all 32 teams on Monday morning, giving fans plenty to discuss as the league introduces another collection of alternate sweaters for the 2026-27 season.
The new jerseys will only be around for one season, but each team is expected to wear its Hometown Remix design several times throughout the campaign. In total, 261 games will feature at least one team sporting its new alternate look.

With all 32 designs now revealed, it’s time to separate the standouts from the biggest disappointments.

Leading the way is the Anaheim Ducks, who delivered one of the collection’s most impressive designs. Leaning heavily into the nostalgia of the Mighty Ducks movies, Anaheim brought back its iconic Mighty Ducks logo with a spectacular combination of green, gold and purple. The result is a jersey that celebrates the franchise’s identity while delivering a memorable retro look.
The Florida Panthers also deserve plenty of recognition. Their coral-coloured jerseys, complemented by gold and black accents, have a distinct Miami Vice feel. The logo featuring a palm tree, hockey stick and sunset is another excellent touch, offering a refreshing alternative to the team’s traditional panther imagery while paying tribute to their home of Sunrise, Florida.
The New York Islanders round out the top three with a welcome return of the infamous fisherman logo. Once mocked across the league, the design has aged surprisingly well. Its clean colours and 1990s-inspired appearance make this a perfect opportunity to bring back one of hockey’s most recognizable throwback looks.

Unfortunately, not every team delivered something memorable. The New York Rangers and Detroit Red Wings are among the biggest disappointments, largely because of their lack of creativity.
The Rangers essentially stuck with a traditional dark-blue jersey, adding “New York” diagonally across the front. Meanwhile, Detroit simply placed “Hockeytown” above its familiar winged-wheel logo. Neither design offers much excitement.
The Chicago Blackhawks also missed the mark. Abandoning their traditional colours for a green background makes the jersey look more appropriate for the Dallas Stars, with a Blackhawks logo seemingly added as an afterthought. It might work on St. Patrick’s Day, but otherwise, it’s a swing-and-a-miss.
