Texas A&M was competitive against South Carolina, but the Aggies ultimately were unable to find victory as they fell to the Gamecocks 17-9. Now Texas A&M will return to Kyle Field to face the Tennessee Volunteers. Per FanDuel, the Aggies are 2.5-point underdogs when Tennessee comes to town. The over / under is set at 42.5 points.
Tennessee was dominant last time out as the Volunteers thrashed Kentucky 34-6. UT is 7-2 on the season, with the losses coming at home against Texas and on the road against South Carolina. The Volunteers lead the all-time series against the Aggies 3-2. The last time Tennessee came to College Station was in 2016, when the Aggies won a thriller over the Vols 45-38. That contest was also the first trip Tennessee ever made to Kyle Field.
Texas A&M only being a 2.5-point underdog against Tennessee this week comes as a bit of a surprise to me, given the recent performances turned in by both teams, but maybe Vegas knows something we don’t. If Mike Elko and the Aggies are going to go bowling this year, they will need to find a way to win two of the next three contests. We’ll see if Texas A&M can pull off a shocker at Kyle Field.
