Apple says more than 100,000 apps are now available for its foldable iPhone Duo, just two weeks after the device began shipping. The company says developers are adding thousands of optimized apps to the App Store every day.
App support has been one of the key talking points since the iPhone Duo launched. However, Apple claims developers have quickly adapted their apps to the foldable’s displays.
Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations, says developers have shown strong interest in the device. Recent additions include Microsoft’s Excel, OneNote, PowerPoint, and Word. Other optimized apps include Etsy, Goodnotes, Halide Mark III, NBA, NHL, Zoom, and Amazon Prime Video.
The list also features Fantastical, Flighty, Instagram, MLB, Netflix, SmartGym, WhatsApp, and YouTube. Users can identify optimized apps through a Made for iPhone Duo badge on their App Store pages.

Meanwhile, Apple has been holding developer workshops to improve app support. The company organized more than 50 in-person sessions across 19 cities over the past month. More than 2,000 developers attended these sessions.
Apple says apps built with standard SwiftUI and UIKit components can automatically adjust to both displays. Developers can also use new APIs to create custom layouts and support different hinge positions.
Older app versions still work on the iPhone Duo. However, they may not fully use the larger inner display. Fully optimized apps offer a better experience across the foldable’s different screen sizes.
Despite the growing support, many App Store apps still need updates. Apple has millions of apps on its platform, so optimization will take time. Google Maps, for example, only recently received full support for the iPhone Duo.
Apple expects the number of optimized apps to continue growing as more developers update their software.
