The Chargers have been hampered by injuries to start the season, but things may be going their way now.
Jim Harbaugh spoke to the media on Wednesday and announced that injured reserve return windows for David Njoku and Denzel Perryman have opened.
Njoku is among the handful of players currently on the IR. The veteran tight end has been dealing with a fibula injury, but he can soon be evaluated for a return to the 53-man roster.
Njoku has missed the last five games after suffering the injury in Week 2 against the Raiders. However, he could return prior to their Week 9 matchup against the Texans.
As for Perryman, he is also close to returning. Perryman has been dealing with an undisclosed injury and has yet to play this season.
He was placed on the IR to start the season.
Perryman is in his second stint with the Chargers and his eighth with the team.
The Chargers will seek their first win of the season this Sunday. They remain the only winless team in the NFL.
