Green Seal Names a Former EPA Division Director and Two Others to Its Board
Brenna Walraven was elected chair of Green Seal’s board, along with three other officers who will serve over the coming year.
Jomarie Garcia, David Goldston and Jean Lupinacci are joining the board of directors of Green Seal, a global nonprofit that certifies products, the organization announced.
Lupinacci previously directed the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Climate Protection Partnerships Division. In that job she oversaw programs such as ENERGY STAR and the Green Power Partnership.
Goldston is now an adjunct professor at Georgetown University. His past posts include director of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Washington Office, director of government affairs at the Natural Resources Defense Council and chief of staff of the House Committee on Science.
Garcia, a product compliance attorney, is product owner at WM. In that role she leads initiatives in technology and AI. Their aim is to expand WM’s recycling and sustainability services.
Board members also elected four officers. Brenna Walraven is chair, Courtney Holm is vice chair, Jesse Levin is treasurer and Vaishali Sampat is secretary, each serving over the coming year. Green Seal said the board guides its strategy and oversees its finances. More about the board is on Green Seal’s governance page.
