By The Arizona Cardinals will be without two of their key skill players on offense for at least a month. The team announced that running back Jeremiyah Love and wide receiver Kendrick Bourne were both placed on injured reserve.
The moves mean they are out at least four weeks before they can even practice.
Both suffered high ankle sprains on Sunday in the first half of the Cardinals' 33-30 overtime win over the Dallas Cowboys.
Love will be out four to five weeks, per an initial report. Head coach Mike LaFleur said on Sunday and Monday that Bourne's injury didn't look good.
They must miss at least the Cardinals' games against the Seattle Seahawks, Los Angeles Rams, Kansas City Chiefs and Washington Commanders. The earliest either can return is in Week 13 against the Philadelphia Eagles, their final game before their bye.
With two vacancies on the active roster, the Cardinals added one player back. They signed rookie receiver Harrison Wallace III from the practice squad to the active roster, giving them five receivers. Michael Wilson, Simi Fehoko, Reggie Virgil and Devin Duvernay are the others.
The Cardinals still have one vacancy to fill. We will see if a player on injured reserve has their practice window opened or if they make another move in the days to come.
