Marcus Freeman updates injury status of Drayk Bowen and Francis Brewu

By November 2, 2026

Notre Dame football suffered more than a few injuries, and on Monday the availability report for this weekend huge matchup against Miami was released.

There was some good news, as both defensive lineman Francis Brewu and Jason Onye are listed as questionable entering the game. The physical game against Navy knocked them both around, and ultimately out for what could be this coming game.

The bad news was the Drayk Bowen is listed as out with a right ankle injury, as speculation following the game said that his injury was severe. It’s obviously bad enough for him to miss the Miami contest, but Freeman didn’t expand on his injury during his press conference aside from the fact that his ankle got rolled up against Navy.

The depth chart released showed that star cornerback Leonard Moore is good to go, along with linebacker Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa. Overall, the injury news ahead of Miami was a mixed bag, but as most teams are across college football, Notre Dame is banged up as the regular season is coming to a close.
