Patriots QB Drake Maye earns AFC Offensive Player of Month honors

By November 5, 2026

After a rough start to the season, Drake Maye completely turned things around.

And the New England Patriots quarterback was rewarded for his efforts, being named the AFC Offensive Player of the Month for October.

Through Maye's impressive play, the Patriots finished October going 3-1, with Maye completing  67.2 percent of his passes, going 90 of 134 for 1,999 yards and averaging 299.8 yards per game. Maye led the NFL with 12 touchdowns and also added two rushing touchdowns to his stat line.

He only had two interceptions to go along with that.

This is the first time in his career Maye has earned this honor, and it is also the first time a Patriots player has been named Offensive Player of the Month since Tom Brady in 2017.

During October, Maye was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in the win over Buffalo, where he completed 22-of-37 passes for 269 yards and three touchdown passes, as well as leading the team with 54 yards rushing on eight attempts.
