Rams QB Matthew Stafford dealing with soreness in throwing arm

By November 2, 2026

The Los Angeles Rams have dealt with more than their fair share of injuries this season, from Myles Garrett to Davante Adams to Puka Nacua. Now, even Matthew Stafford is a bit banged up.

Sean McVay revealed in his press conference on Monday that Stafford has dealt with some soreness in his throwing arm. McVay didn’t say how Stafford is feeling, though, deferring to the quarterback on his current status.

Adam Grosbard of the LA Daily News reported that Stafford left the locker room after Sunday’s win with a bag of ice on his right elbow, prompting the question during Monday’s presser.

Stafford hasn't missed a snap all year due to injury, and he's shown no signs of discomfort. However, that doesn't mean he hasn't been playing through some pain, as he often does.

It's worth noting that Stafford dealt with an elbow issue in 2022. He underwent surgery on his elbow that offseason but was still ready for the start of the regular season. He missed eight games that season due to a concussion and spinal cord contusion.
