Real Madrid midfielder Marco Company is making significant progress at Valdebebas, establishing himself as one of the standout performers in the club’s Juvenil A side, earning him comparisons with Bernardo Silva within the club, reports AS.

After arriving from Valencia in 2023, the 17-year-old talent has taken an important step in his development this season, combining regular involvement with an impressive contribution in front of goal.

Notably, his emergence comes at an important moment for Real Madrid’s youth team, who have made an excellent start to their domestic and European campaigns.

Company establishes himself as a key player at Real Madrid

Company made his debut for Juvenil A last season, but it is the current campaign that has seen him become a much more influential figure.

To put it in perspective, he is now the second-most-used midfielder in the squad behind Cherif Fofana.

Statistically, Company is performing at an excellent level, scoring three goals and providing five assists across 485 minutes in La Liga and the UEFA Youth League.

His performances have helped Juvenil A maintain their strong start to the season.

They have won all four of their UEFA Youth League group-stage matches and collected seven victories and one draw from eight league fixtures.

Qualities that have caught attention at Valdebebas

Company’s ability to influence attacking situations from midfield is one of the characteristics that has made him an exciting prospect.

When he was younger, he was frequently compared to Mikel Merino because of his movement into the penalty area and ability to arrive in scoring positions.

However, the assessment of his potential at Valdebebas has evolved, and those following his development now see similarities with Vitinha and Bernardo Silva, particularly in terms of his playing style and technical qualities.

Real Madrid’s faith in Company’s long-term potential

Real Madrid’s confidence in Company dates back to his arrival from Valencia in 2023.

Back then, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona were also interested in securing his services, but the midfielder chose to continue his development at Valdebebas.

The club subsequently strengthened its position by securing him with a €100 million release clause in February.

Lastly, his development will be particularly important during the Under-17 World Cup, which is expected to disrupt the Juvenil A squad for around a month.

Company is set to have an important role during that period, offering another opportunity to demonstrate his growing responsibility.
