Manchester United starlet JJ Gabriel’s future has been a topic of constant conversation in the Spanish media, and understandably so given how Real Madrid and Barcelona were two of the biggest sides fighting for his signing.
While Manchester United have been attempting to block his departure constantly, the player has made up his mind about a change of scenery and was said to be keenly weighing his options.
Real Madrid’s interest, needless to say, caught his eye but the club were said to be carefully checking bureaucratic complications before going for the kill.
In recent days, they finally put their foot on the gas and the player has now made his decision to join Real Madrid as reported by TEAMtalk.
The major factor

As relayed by the English outlet, JJ Gabriel was very impressed by the sporting project that Los Blancos explained to him and had outlined for his future. That was one of the primary factors that helped him make his final decision.
The club outlined, in detail, the exact plan they have in mind for Gabriel’s development through the academy to the Castilla and eventually to the first team.
The pathway outlined left a clear and strong impression on Gabriel and his entourage, and they are now firm that Real Madrid is the ideal club for him to join and represent.
Surprisingly, the economic package was not a major factor in helping the player make his final decision. All top clubs were willing to pay him a salary in the same range, and it all came down to the project offered.

Despite still being a teenager, Gabriel is widely seen as the next big star of English football and his profile makes him one of a kind.
For Real Madrid to win the race to sign him once again stands as a testament to the club’s stature on the transfer market and proves the pull that Real Madrid has over other top rivals.
It may well be a matter of a few years before Gabriel can hope for a first-team spot, and a lot will depend on how his development progresses in the coming period.
Yet, having the likes of Jude Bellingham and Trent Alexander-Arnold at the club will undoubtedly be a factor that will ease his adaptation.
With the youngster’s decision now final, it only appears to be a matter of time before the deal is made official. After all, the player is already in the final year of his contract and is free to openly negotiate his next senior contract from January.
