The 2026 Emirates NBA Cup will continue this week with a group stage matchup between the Hornets and Celtics on Friday night.
The Hornets will host Boston for the first time this season, looking to avenge a poor 114-93 preseason loss to the C's in October. But in the slump of a four-game losing streak, Charlotte will have to dig deep. The Hornets now have Coby White back in the lineup after a calf injury, but are still without stars Kon Knueppel and Grant Williams.
Despite a recent loss to Houston, the Celtics have been consistently strong. With a new-look roster, franchise star Jayson Tatum has taken on a huge load, averaging 27 points and 8 rebounds per game so far. New additions Paul George and Michell Robinson are also making a solid impact, though the team is still working on its chemistry early on.
