By Around 4,300 schools operating under the Punjab Education Initiatives Management Authority (PEIMA) are facing financial difficulties as payments for July and August remain pending.
The delay has affected nearly 20,000 teachers and school administrators, while school owners say the lack of funds is making it difficult to cover routine expenses and meet household financial needs.
Around 600,000 students are currently enrolled in the affected schools. PEIMA officials said payments to licensee schools are being released in phases and assured that the remaining outstanding dues will be cleared soon.
