KSE-100 Gains Over 400 Points in Early Tuesday Trading

Buying continued at the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Tuesday as the benchmark KSE-100 Index gained more than 400 points in early trading.

At around 10:10am, the index stood at 171,562.37 points, up 409.21 points or 0.24%. Buying interest was seen across automobile assemblers, cement, commercial banks, oil and gas exploration companies, power generation firms and refineries.

Several index-heavy stocks, including ARL, HUBCO, MARI, OGDC, POL, HBL, MCB, MEBL and NBP, traded in positive territory.

The market had closed higher on Monday, with the KSE-100 gaining 268.58 points or 0.16% to settle at 171,153.17 points. Investors continued to monitor international oil prices, geopolitical developments and expectations of additional crude supplies.

Global market gains also supported sentiment. Asian equities moved higher as easing oil prices reduced inflation concerns, while investors monitored potential US-Iran talks and upcoming US-China discussions. Technology stocks also remained supported by continued interest in artificial intelligence-related companies.
