Indiana men’s basketball moved to 2-0 on the season on Thursday evening with a 92-69 win over Bellarmine at Assembly Hall in Bloomington.
Darren Harris led the Hoosiers in scoring, going off for 23 points on 6-11 shooting from the field, including 5-10 from 3-point range. He added six more points at the free throw line, showing additional aggression in the line along with his usual floor spacing ability.
There was a lot to like from the Hoosiers, who shot 12-34 from 3-point range and 50% overall from the field, but there were a few issues that’ll need correcting sooner rather than later. Markus Burton fouled out with several minutes left in the game and the 12 turnovers, which turned into 15 points for the Knights, were a bit much.
Indiana returns to action on Monday, facing Syracuse at 6:30 p.m. on Monday evening at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis for the Hoosiers’ first high-major matchup of the 2026-27 season.
