By The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Composite Circle has arrested the main suspects of an organised gang that extorted millions of rupees from students and parents by promising higher marks in the MDCAT examination.
According to an FIA spokesperson, the team carried out raids at several locations on the special directions of FIA Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Director Muhammad Ijaz Khan. The operation led to the arrest of key members of the network.
FIA officials said the mobile phones used by the suspects have been sent for forensic analysis. The investigation is proceeding on the basis of the digital and technical evidence obtained.
Legal proceedings have been initiated against the suspects. The agency has also expanded its raids to arrest other facilitators and members of the network.
